NiTEC announce merger with Surface Technology PLC

NiTEC (UK) Ltd is pleased to announce that we have merged our business with the Electroless Nickel and Nickel PTFE business of Surface Technology Plc's Coventry operation.

Production will be based at NiTEC's Chesterfield location which after a £2,000,000 investment in the last two years, is the largest and most modern Electroless Nickel facility in the UK. With 5 plating lines and tanks 7 metres in length, we have the capabilities to plate many larger items. Read more about the electroless nickel plating process at NiTEC here.

The new operation will also incorporate the technical backup and knowledge of Surface Technology headed by Andrew Shears. Surface Technology is a recognised name within the plating sector and Andrew welcomes the opportunity to work with another leader in this field of industry, "It's reassuring to know that even in these uncertain times, companies with the experience and reputation that both Surface Technology and NiTEC have, can work together and combine resources, to ensure we are still providing a high end service for our customers."

NiTEC have recently developed SEATEC 100 - This unique product protects mild steel from salt spray corrosion for many hours. Developed and tested by the specialist team at NiTEC, this product is a new and exciting innovation within the engineering industry and is ideal for use in a marine environment.

BS EN ISO 14001:2004 Environmental awarded to NiTEC

Along with BS EN ISO 9001:2000, NiTEC have recently been awarded with BS EN IS0 14001:2004 This affirms our commitment to safety and quality within the engineering sector.
